Mike McNamee is Professor of Applied Ethics in Swansea University, United Kingdom.
He has dual backgrounds and qualifications in philosophy and in sports sciences. He has published several books including Sports, Virtues and Vices (Routledge, 2008) and Sport, Medicine, Ethics (Routledge, 2016), Bioethics, Genetics, and Sport (Routledge, 2018).
McNamee is also a full professor of Ethics and programme director of the Academic Board of Studies of Master of Arts in Sports Ethics and Integrity at the Faculty of Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences in Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. He has been a director of the newly established research centre Interdisciplinary Center for Ethics & Integrity in Sports (iCERIS), where scientists interested in ethical and regulatory issues surrounding sport integrity will collaborate.
